We’ve been collecting and celebrating EpicService nominations all season and now it’s time to announce the final winner for the Corporate Division. Congratulations to Jill Metchikoff, Payroll Coordinator, for going above and beyond. Read her heartwarming nomination below (and throw her a high-five in the hall for being awesome next time you see her!).

Jill joined the Payroll Team in June and every day I am reminded of why we hired her. Here is one story of many that shows her kindness and dedication to our employees:

Recently we had an employee whose check was lost and desperately needed the money. The employee mentioned that due to circumstances, he needed the money to purchase gas and groceries for his young children. Jill stayed late on Friday night to coordinate the reissue of the check and tried everything she could think of to get the check to the employee that night. Unfortunately, we did not get him the check that day. On Monday, the employee came to the Broomfield office to get his check and also waiting for him were groceries that Jill had personally purchased to give to the employee and his family. The employee was speechless, humbled and gladly took the gift. Thank you Jill for caring for our employees like family! – Carrie Messmer, Payroll Specialist

The EpicService Award is the highest level of recognition for guest service at Vail Resorts. This program recognizes individuals who provide an Experience of a Lifetime to an external guest or a fellow colleague. A Vail Resorts employee earns this award by embodying our service mantra: Own It. Personalize It. Elevate It.

Jill will join other winners at the 2017 celebration. Each winner will be treated to an all-expense paid VIP Experience of a Lifetime trip. The trip includes transportation, lodging, meals, exciting adventures, activities and more. The highlight will be a special dinner with CEO Rob Katz and members of the Executive Committee.
